Professional Development Tracking Sheet

The Professional Development Tracking document allow us to track each librarian’s activities as it relates to submitting a conference or publication proposal and/or their intentions to attend a conference.

The primary purpose of the tracking document is to:

  • provide foresight of who has submitted a proposal/poster to which conference
  • keep track of accepted & rejected proposals
  • keep track of each librarian’s interest in attending conferences (even if they were rejected)
  • keep track of conference attendance to ensure all librarians have an equal opportunity to attend conferences.

How to use the Conference Spreadsheet

Once you have identified a Professional development opportunity go to the OneDrive Conference Spreadsheet and start filling out information.

If you are planning on submitting a proposal you should complete this form 2 weeks prior to the proposal deadline.

If you are planning on attending a conference you should complete this form as soon as you decide you are interested in attending  Please note that submitting early does not guarantee approval to attend. This document is also meant to ensure all librarians have an equal opportunity to attend conferences.

How to fill out the conference spreadsheet

Step 1: Go the OneDrive Conference Spreadsheet.

Step 2:  Enter the following information if you are planning to submit a proposal:

Step 3:   Return to conference spreadsheet to provide updates on pending items (Proposal status, Attendance & Grant award)

If your proposal was rejected but you would still like to attend, you need to change your “Attendance Status” to “attending” and the reason for attending.
