Does the Online Campus have Textbooks on Reserve?

With the advent of the Digital Learning Resources (eTexts), Distance Learning students do not need Textbooks on Reserve. All eTexts are available in your Blackboard courses.

Why can't you put electronic textbooks on reserve?

Many publishers restrict the sale of electronic textbooks to Libraries, including Berkeley College.

Copyright restrictions prevent us from making the material available online through the Libraries. For more information on Copyright Law, see the box on the right side of this page.

Textbooks on reserve must adhere to Fair Use / Copyright guidelines.

The Berkeley College Library makes every effort to abide by the copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States Code) which governs the reproduction, distribution, adaptation, public performance, and public display of copyright material.

For more information, please see Title 17 of the United States Code
