Highlights

The library does not add or withdraw, at the request of any individual or group, material, which has been chosen or excluded on the bases of, stated selection criteria

The need for supplementing materials in subject areas of strong student interest or of a contemporary nature.

No censorship will be exercised on the controversial nature or unpopularity of an author’s point of view or mode of expression

Ensure that the library supports the Library Bill of Rights of the American Library Association and other principles and ideas of intellectual freedom

Fiction should be selected with an emphasis on its use in the formal study of literature or its impact on social and political thought, philosophical ideas, and multicultural values.
