SCI 4405: Controversial Topic-Ethical Dilemma Assignment

This guide outlines the assignments in Professor Espinosa's Bioethics course and will help you find resources for the final paper and presentation.

Finding information and viewpoints

Read the eText Chapter on your chosen controversial topic; take notes, highlight relevant facts, underline key words and phrases.  Expand upon the information presented in the chapter by searching for the keywords and facts in the resources listed below.

When researching cases, you shouldn't think of it as an opportunity to gather resources to support your position rather to question all assumptions by gathering arguments from different perspectives.  Get inside the arguments of those who oppose the position.  What motivates them?  What are their core beliefs and arguments?  These questions will help reach a solid reassessment of your own position. Using LibSearch Discovery search

Keywords are the search terms that you enter into a database to describe the topic of articles or information that you want to retrieve. The LibSearch box below will word-match your keywords against the text of Everything in the library collection, or limit the results to books, articles, videos based on your check-marked selection, then deliver results that match what you entered.
