FAS 3325 Fashion and the Media

Assignment

Pick a fashion design company, research and analyze their presence, tactics, and effective use of digital and social media.  

Some questions to ask yourself while researching your company include:  

  1. How much traffic does the current fashion designer company receive on their website monthly and/or yearly?
  2. Include information about any digital and social media trends found for your fashion designer company?
  3. What platforms does your fashion designer company use? How actively?
  4. Has the designer's promotional footprint evolved through the years write about it demonstrating the company’s strategic approach (or lack thereof) to digital and social media use? 

Picking a Fashion Company

The Berkeley College Library provides access to numerous fashion magazines that can be browsed in order to identify fashion companies.   The WWD database is a great place to start in identifying the latest trends and leaders in the fashion industry.   The Proquest Central database has the full-text of leading fashion magazines such as Vogue, Allure, Apparel Online an Esquire.
