Prof. Suchocki's class

Ebook Central

The library catalog has print books and the eBook Central database has eBooks. Both can be used in your research.

  • You can start by searching the name(s) of the political philosopher(s) you've chosen, in either the library catalog (print books) or ProQuest Ebook Central (electronic books). You can find biographies, autobiographies, and essays written by your philosopher.

Berkeley College Library offers access to over 150 thousand electronic book titles, covering many course topics, which you can read online or download to multiple devices, save, email and cite. An additional 176,345 titles are available by request.

Ebook Central offers a citation tool, allows to search within the book, to highlight needed information, as well as to download parts of the book on a portable device.

As with any online search, it is recommended for the user to prepare a list of search words (terms) and synonyms for the benefit of retrieving the most relevant information.

Please watch these two short instructional videos that explain how to search Ebook Central.
