Information Literacy Toolkit for Faculty

Framework for Information Literacy in Higher Education

We strive to align our practices and support around national standards and therefore have built our instructional services around the Association for College & Research Libraries's Information Literacy Framework  These concepts align with Berkeley College's College Learning Objective:  

Information Literacy: 

Students will define and articulate their needs for information and access this information effectively and efficiently.

Learning outcomes and research assignments are designed with the following concepts in mind to help students to become fluent with the core ideas and abilities of information literate individuals:
