Alternative types of news articles are not new; however, there is an increase in the understanding of the rise of fake news sources, alternative fakes, and deliberate misinformation.  The ability to recognize bias, authority, and credibility is a skill to be developed.   This Libguide was developed to provide the tools to help you evaluate and determine the reliability of a resource.

Resources in The Berkeley College Library go through a review process to determine their reliability; thus, library resources are deemed reliable and credible.
