Description: Write a paper that answers the following 6 questions on prison reform.  Each question must include two references to support your answer. 

1. Why promote prison reform?

2. How does prison affect families financially?

3. What are the public health consequences of imprisonment?

4. What is the effect of imprisonment on families and socially? Why?

5. What is the cost of imprisonment? Find three costs of imprisonment from three states. After reviewing the costs, write about how to decrease them.

6. Give three examples of alternate ideas for prison and explain how this would be effective for society and the benefits it would have on the rehabilitation of the inmate.
