5 ways to get marketplace coverage

There are five basic ways to apply for health insurance coverage through the Healthcare Marketplace, HealthCare.gov. Besides going online, you can use a paper application, go through an insurance broker or a trained navigator or assister in your community, or call 1-800-318-2596 to apply and enroll over the phone. The Healthcare.gov Open Enrollment to sign up or renew coverage for 2024 health insurance is from November 1, 2023, until January 15, 2024. More people than ever before qualify for help paying for health coverage, even those who weren’t eligible in the past. Learn more about new, lower costs. There are also special enrollment periods after that for individuals who had certain changes, such as losing their employer-sponsored coverage or having a baby.
