Exams and Certifications

Civil service exams are comprehensive tests given as part of the civil servant hiring process. The term civil servant is usually used to refer to professionals within state and local governments.  Passing the exam is required as a prerequisite to many state, local, and even some federal government jobs.

The exams often consist of a multiple choice general knowledge section. Additionally, there may be questions specific to the job to which you are applying.
